We met in the snug of the Gorbachev Simulation Room on Platform 2

Which I empathised with having lived through the Gummer years

And pork scratchings

The bingo started
It was a side of beef for a full house which worried him in case it was one of his

We didn’t have a pen anyway
The jabber jowled DJ was starting to take down the tempo

Last orders and a slowy up next
Maybe some tongues and an awkward acid fumble
Hopefully not

He left the rose on the table
I still go and sit with it sometimes

I wonder how his cows are
But not that often
